Take an ordinary average World Models P-51 Voodoo Reno Racer and run it through the PlaneAdrenalinRC speed shop and you end up with a great airframe to cut your teeth on SPEED! Capable of being flown on a 3S pack to start with, then with a simple prop change you can move into the higher speeds offered by a 4S pack. ROG or hand launch, your choice.
We finally managed to get video of several flights of this new war bird. The size is crazy small but it performs well, and on only a 2S 450-480mAh size lipo! Both ROG style takeoffs (using the included scale fixed gear) and hand launch are possible and easy to execute. This is one tough subject to shoot, given the size and speed!
This Durafly kit comes with the power system and all servos pre-installed. Assembly is quick and 90% of it is done with a screwdriver! The cool scale rigging takes a little patience and time to string but the end result is worth it. Easy ground handling and stable flight performance combine to produce an honest flying replica of a WW I era aircraft.
Sporting a 68 inch wingspan, this Platinum Edition ARF has a bunch of scale bits to really make it look the part. We really enjoyed flying around with the flaps down, shooting endless touch-n-gos!
