On March 17th grand prix-style racing returned, as kart racers took to the streets in the first ever Texas Lone Star Grand Prix. Much of the course followed the course formerly used for Formula One racers in the Dallas Grand Prix.

When YAER was at the Formula D championships, I asked Ryan Tuerck if he would want to show us around the track. He was excited to show us how an FD run went down, so we grabbed some cameras and followed him out.

Well... I think that I will say that I stepped out of my comfort zone, especially with the song. But I LOVE the song. I think I made it work.
I will say that while directing people is rather stressful simply bc im not used to it, I think the company of this shoot probably made it one of the most fun yet.

This was my first time shooting for a team and it was definitely a challenge with lessons learned everyday. Finding new angles and getting the shot you need in short practices is a lot of work. Unfortunately CKR was in the second group so shots during the day were hard to come by, and night shots are very tricky with a telephoto lenses and low light situations. But overall I think everything came out rather well all things considered.
