Sherie & Kris || 2011-10-01 || Highlights Video

From selecting a wedding dress with her Mom, aunt and her three bridesmaids, to their departure from the reception, we were able to cover all the pre-wedding and wedding day activities of Sherie and Kris in Bonifay, Florida. Fortunately, Kris was able to get the ring on Sherie's finger during the ceremony, but not after a bit of a struggle. This is something they both can look back upon in years to come and enjoy. Once I saw the color Sherie had selected for the shoes to be worn on her wedding day, I knew the perfect song for a portion of this highlight video - Patty Griffin's "Burgundy Shoes". Together with One Republic's "Good Life", the video captures the main events of the total wedding movie experience with HDV's "No Limits". Congratulations to you guys from Larry, Steve and Shane at HDV.

Jessica & Gary || Wedding Highlights || 2011-05-21

After completing finals at college the week before, Jessica came home to Dothan where she and Gary were married at Dothan's Covenant United Methodist Church ( http://www.covenantdothan.org ). Following the ceremony, a classic Rolls Royce transported the couple to The Grand on Foster ( http://thegrandonfoster.com ), where they and the wedding party were presented. An evening of partying followed, as it was lead by the band "Trotline" ( http://www.trotline.net/fr_theband.cfm ). (This was HDV's second wedding with this band and they were just as exciting as when they performed at a reception in Valdosta, GA.) The reception continued until near midnight when Jessica and Gary were showered with flower petals as they departed from The Grand. HDV Highlights Reel 2011

Upon seeing one of the latest commercials for the new redesigned 2011 Ford Explorer (www.youtube.com/watch?v=xptHnrJTPJc), I knew the background music was what was needed in the editing a new HDV highlights video. It took some searching to locate the selection “Go Do”, released in April 2010, by Jonsi (www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYb2Q3DvLNE), who is an Icelandic musician (http://jonsi.com). While Jonsi’s production is quite different from a wedding video, it gave me some ideas for the editing and effects. Thanks to all the brides, grooms and other persons appearing in this video. Whether it’s an engagement photo shoot with your photographer, the wedding rehearsal, the preparation of the bride or groom on the day of the wedding, to all the aspects of the wedding itself – from the arrival at the venue to the departure from the reception, HDV is there for it all, with no restrictions on the shooting time. Lindsey & Sandy Wedding Highlights || 2010-11-20

I first met Lindsey and Sandy for lunch back in August. Before this day, I could never have imagined their requests for both the video and photo coverage of their wedding day - especially for the ceremony to be held at Shiloh Baptist Church in Hartford, AL. It seems that some of their friends were married in Brazil, where it is the custom to have the wedding photographer cover the ceremony as though they are an attendant in the wedding. These photographs were truly amazing, as Lindsey and Sandy conveyed to me during our lunch. This was the same type of coverage they wanted for their wedding ceremony - both for the photographs and the video. WOW! With their requests in mind, we had one unmanned stationary camera at the back right altar, one manned semi-stationary camera in the sanctuary, another camera on a dolly in the sanctuary and a fourth camera on Steadicam which "hovered" in the altar area.
