The Southwest Festival of the Written Word- highlights
a StopMotion Animation of paper cut-outs that tell the story of a regular cat who, out of curiosity, goes into an art studio and while inside becomes Pablo Picasso. Modeled after a cartoon I created which was published in 2008, the story is loosely based on true events. A while back I had my studio in an out- building behind my house. Every time I went in to work, my room mate's cat would be, happy and purring, lounging in my chair …like a king! an Art King! He never turned into Picasso but…he was a true original.
