Audio-visual piece created in collaboration with if then do for a 3 track Blu Ray EP. Cocoon is the name of the video and gunung agung is the audio piece. The audio was recorded live in the Artengine M70 Lab and mastered by Luc Gregoire. The visuals where created as realtime imporvizations of the music using Modul8.
This clip captures the final minutes of a section of my project Bright Lights Big City, which synchronized the lighting system on the CN Tower to a radio broadcast on CIUT. The project was produced for Scotiabank Nuit Blanche on October 3rd, 2009.
The scrolling image across the bottom of the screen is the music visualization used to created the light show.

Documentation of the 2009 Nuit Blanche project Bright Lights Big City. This collaboration between VJ Ryan Stec, Jokers of the Scene and if then do created city wide synesthetic experience using North America's largest LED lighting system. Visible from anywhere in the city, citizens needed only to tune into CIUT 89.5FM to participate.
This section includes the amazing mix by Ottawa DJ and producers Jokers of the Scene. A radical dark departure from their party bangers this erie and moving mix provided the perfect soundtrack for the all night light show.
In internet time this video is epic at one hour and six minutes. We encourage people to download the video from this page and play the av mix on your laptop or DVD player. It's a great window on the night.
This massive undertaking would not have been possible without the positive and hardworking people at the CN Tower, the City of Toronto and CIUT Radio.
