This video was shot using the Canon 5D Mark II on a modular shoulder mount rig (Zacuto rods, RedRock shoulder mount, RedRock grips, Hyson Films 4-stage X-Matte mattebox, JBKCine extended Follow Focus, TV Logic LVM-071W 7" monitor, external V-mount battery mounted behind camera, Giottos quick-release). The only lighting used was what was available in the nightclub. No controllable or camera-mounted lights were used. The prime focus (no pun intended) was to see how well the camera would record this low-light scenario before using the rig in a real production environment. I feel it did very well, despite the amount of noise that was introduced from the high ISO setting.
To give the video a slightly over-cranked (slow-motion) feel, all the raw footage was conformed from 30p to 24p.
Out of the large collection of lenses we have, only two were used; the Canon 35mm f/1.4L and the Canon 135mm f/2L. These are noted in the bottom-right area of the video on a clip-per-clip basis.
No color-timing and/or color-grading was used on any of these shots; they are all uncorrected in their raw state.
Edited in Final Cut Studio 2 in a couple of hours.
