This is the complete John Anderson: Landscape Photographer video. It brings together the 12 individual sequences into a complete program. In the process of combining the content into show for VOV-TV, I made changes for artistic and technical reasons based on the feedback I received. I hope the end-result will be appreciated by everyone who helped me get to this point with this project. This was an amazing experience for me. Once again, I found myself working in the long form, as I think of it. While brief videos are much easier to create, stories, for me, at least, must be longer to tell the whole truth. I find it amazing and inspiring that John has used what most would consider absolutely depressing (his Parkinson's) as the primary motivation for creating such incredible work. Dog

Dog is a short film by DISSIMILAR [artists Alastair Cook and James Norton, based in Edinburgh and London respectively]. DISSIMILAR shoot on miniDV, using realtime raw footage to build suspense, harnessing the low-fi elements of miniDV to produce distinct and impressive free-budget films.

Dog was shot on location in a series of derelict [now demolished] buildings on the peninsula at Spittal, Berwick upon Tweed ] and also on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Dog is a recital of a true story, which happened on a small sunny Island, a long way away.

The accompanying audio for Dog was composed by DM+, DISSIMILAR's music project, with a narrative by Alastair Cook.

It was shown as part of the exhibition TRACE in at the Pine Gallery in Hastings:

"This exhibition explores the concept ’trace’ through a series of works by five contemporary artists. Each artist is using a different medium to explore this concept ranging from interactive projections to found objects and drawings. The work explores the marks and signs left behind by people and animals both in fiction and reality which give visual clues to their previous existence."
