The ever-talented Parisian creative collective Ill-Studio translate the Sound Pellegrino visual identity they defined in still form into a short video illustrating the label’s next release from German newcomer MATTHIAS ZIMMERMANN.
Sampled video footage of semi-confidential scientific reports, counter-culture gatherings, audio research and pop flashes of our non-localizable collective youth are cropped, cut, chopped and edited in perfect sync with the beats, synths and string of the bewildering "Luther" single, and conjures fond memories of Plastic Dreams or classic Coldcut/Hexstatic videos, taking sampling culture back to its own playful roots.

3-projector underground surround live visual performance ;)
This is the first test run of a new live visual tool built in Plask. Coding in javascript seems so natural for visuals. I found myself blocked less by the language and able to focus on making the actual thing.
Many thanks to Gabe Dunne for filming this! Also thanks to the whole GA crew for an awesome night.

Jamie xx and Quayola recently brought their creative vision to life, live in Shoreditch. Using two 15-metre HD screens, Quayola and his team, Abstract Birds, created live sound visualisations of Jamie xx’s set using their bespoke Partitura software.
