Le Marche is one the Italian most well-known regions thanks to its artistic, historical and cultural heritage. Located in central Italy, Le Marche has a population of over 1,5 million and Ancona as its capital.

Surrounded by the Apennines on one side and by the adriatic Sea on the other, Le Marche is characterized by the incredible variety in its territory: seaside, mountains, hills and flat valleys. The steep and gentle hills the long beaches, the white of the travertino marble quarries and the calanchis of the south, the white coast of the wild Conero are all parts that contribute to the beauty of Le Marche. In addition, there are hundreds of walled towns and castles that spot the Le Marche countryside.

The beautiful landscapes and rich culture in Le Marche are the result of its ancient history going back millennia to the present. Here the Picens and Romans lived for centuries founding many important cities that are still alive today albeit with changes. In the Middle Ages, many castles and walled towns were founded and ruled by the local aristocracy. It was the Renaissance, though, that transformed Le Marche into an important European center of art. Many famous artists throughout the ages have been born or found their home of inspiration and work in Le Marche, writers, architects, scientists, actors, painters.

Le Marche is one of the most attractive destinations around the world but still, fortunally, not very known abroad and visited.
We hope you visit Le Marche on vacation soon!
