Her life with literature began when she was still a child in Camaguey, Cuba. It was then that Dr. Graciela Nemes first read the work of famous poets like Jose Marti, Ruben Dario, Gertrudis Gomez de Avellaneda and especially, the Spanish writer Juan Ramon Jimenez. It was then, as a child, that began her life in the shadow of their work.
