Everybody loves a puppet show, especially when it has tongues of fire and Armageddon in it.
The sheet was real, everything else was done in post. Lots of motion sketching was used to get the hand-held effect. Normally I use lots of wiggle expressions in my work but those expressions never look quite natural so I had to "hand wiggle" everything on my own. I also green-screened my hand and composited it on the sheet for a couple of the shots.
