I have been given the opportunity by Rule Boston Camera to try out and use the Phantom HD GOLD to shoot a mountain biking film. This camera is amazing and I decided to shoot a video blog explaining the features, lenses and operation of this expensive beast.
Please read my blog for more information and download some files straight off the camera in 1080p shot at 1050 frames per second!

What happens to a dream when it becomes reality?
Does it still exist somewhere, in some ethereal place, waiting to come to fruition again?
Could a fictional narrative capture an emotional state, and the true meaning behind a real, live event with more drama and conviction than a traditional documentary?
These were just some of the questions that arose when I took on the “CITY OF LAKES” project late last year. First, it would become an unprecedented attempt to combine a fully scripted, produced film with Melissa & Samir's real, live wedding. All with the intention of creating one, seamless film. Second, the live wedding and production would be shot entirely on-location in Udaipur, India over a period of nine days. Third, our skeleton crew would consist solely of live event filmmakers from across North America, who would shoot the live wedding events and production simultaneously & exclusively on HDSLRs, the Canon 5D Mark II and 7D.
“CITY OF LAKES” is as much a story about what it means…
behind the Scenes of the workshop in portland. this is from day one of steadicam training. shot entirely with the steadicam merlin. now often we use the bigger rigs because of the added benefits they prodive, but when we get a chance to play with these smaller ones, such as here, it always surprises me just how clean the footage can look.
for those that haven't heard, san fran won the last stop for the cinema caravan and registration launched monday.

Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
