When we arrived at Wychmere Beach Club on a beautiful July morning to film Jaime and Brendan's wedding, it felt like we were there to see good friends.
Through the wedding planning process, we got to know Jaime and Brendan, and their families, as we worked with them to put together photo slideshows and an engagement film to share at the reception.
It was fun to see two families and cultural backgrounds come together on this wedding day. Jaime is from Kentucky, where she and Brendan now live, and many friends and family made the journey to Cape Cod to celebrate with the couple. Southern charm was available in abundance and we have to say that Jaime wins the cutest accent of the year award, hands down (we love that Southern twang). Meanwhile, Brendan's family is from Ireland and we got the chance to see some seriously skillful Irish step dancing breaking out on the dance floor later in the night. Tom strapped on his Steadicam and it made for some pretty epic footage.
We always enjoy working at the Wychmere Beach Club, with its casual elegance and incomparable service. In fact, we're thinking of launching a campaign for them to let wedding videographers have a free membership to enjoy their incredible pool and maybe borrow one of the yachts every so often.
Thanks to the excellent vendors we collaborated with on the day, including photographer Alicia Schneider (check out her photos of Jaime and Brendan here), flowers and decor by Kim Lamothe of Green Lion Weddings and DJ Danny Walsh. Thanks again to Karen and the team at Wychmere Beach Club.
