The Tom Benson Jesuit Center will serve the needs of new generations of Loyola students, faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as Catholics and all people of good will and various faiths in the Archdiocese of New Orleans and beyond. The center will provide dramatically enhanced opportunities for collaboration in teaching as well as service to God and God’s people. It will be a beautiful, inviting space where students, faculty, and the entire Loyola community gather, worship, and learn.

  3. Loyola aspires to provide an undergraduate experience in which students can learn at the highest levels throughout all dimensions of campus life. No other academic building on campus is as important to serving Loyola’s Jesuit teaching mission as Monroe Hall, the university’s largest and most wide-ranging academic facility. Forty percent of all Loyola’s classes take place within Monroe Hall, from small humanities seminars to teaching laboratories and fine art and design workshops.

  4. Loyola University New Orleans is dedicated to delivering an inspiring, engaging student experience. Nowhere is this more evident than in our determination to attract a diverse and talented student body. Loyola seeks to secure $20 million in philanthropic support so that we can attract and enroll students with ability and determination, regardless of their financial standing. If Loyola hopes to graduate truly the best students, we must make resources available to moderate tuition costs and keep a Loyola education competitive for all exceptional students who can thrive at the university. The university seeks to raise $13 million for merit-based scholarships and $7 million for need-based scholarships.

Loyola University New Orleans seeks $7 million in philanthropic investments to the Loyola Fund that will strengthen the university’s financial foundation and ensure its reliable day-to-day operation. In seeking this support, we hope to bolster the participation of alumni, parents, and friends of Loyola and create a more active and robust university community.
