Magic Christmas is located in Alexandria, La. and has approximately 200,000 lights. The entire display is separated into two distinct parts - an animated portion and a traditional site. The animated portion which uses LOR is backed by a fence which contains large wreaths on individual panels. The wreaths are hidden behind a green covering and are revealed when the covering is opened. The wreaths also perform a bit of magic by appearing to spin in different directions, an illusion created by special effect lights. Over 300 strobes that vary in size and intensity create dynamic and crowd pleasing patterns. Also, a lighted Christmas train travels around the display carrying dignitaries such as Sponge Bob, Big Bird, Raggedy Ann, Bugs Bunny and others.
The traditional site of the display features over 30 "toys of the past" outlined in rope light and hung as ornaments in two large oak trees. The toys are accented by a very traditional front of house decor which includes a RGB tree (ColorMotions).…
