I decided to participate in the "Make It Interesting" project and this is what I came up with! I shot this in 24p, but did not remove the pull-down. I didn't want to go through all of that. I'm happy with the outcome though!

For Mark Jensens project/channel - Make It Interesting. http://www.vimeo.com/makeitinteresting Thanks to Jay Boy for his Main Concept rendering recommendation. http://www.vimeo.com/890329 (Beats WMV hands down). It was 2am, trying to watch that awful Alexander movie, when 'ping', lightbulb moment. Suddenly it was 5am. Gotta love moments like that.

A friend gave me an old pair of cool shoes, she also claimed that they were the reason why she injured her ankle.. I guess I'll never wear them, so I'll have to animate them! I made it in 2007 by hand colouring over 100 A4 frames.

Do you really look at and appreciate the things that surround you? In continuation of my Deteriorating Garden series, I chose to do a visual study of another object that had been in my garden for my whole life and was naturally breaking down. I decided to pay attention to the table's form, shapes, stains and textures caused by scratches, deterioration and other marks. Made: 2007

One of the things we learned in college for videography was to take one subject and make it interesting, even though in reality, it's boring with one shot. I wish I still had my footage from then so I could use it as a sample, but I'll do a new one to show you what I mean. I'm going to take a mailbox, and only the mailbox, and make it interesting by showing different shots, pans, and angles. You can take anything you want, as long as it's one subject only. Could be a person, a thing, animal, tree, you name it.
I'll upload the mailbox later once i'm done shooting and editing.
Have fun! *Remember, play with pans, close-ups, different angles...

BBC Frozen Planet Augmented Reality, NJ, IL, CA - USA by Appshaker

The official video can be seen at vimeo.com/42451011.

BBC Home Entertainment partnered with Appshaker Ltd for its first Augmented Reality Tour in the US, in support of the Blu-ray/DVD Frozen Planet that became available on April 17, 2012.

With 4 distinctive broadcast quality 3D scenes, delighted crowds had the opportunity to place themselves right inside the content, where they were able to interact with the animals of the Polar Region. This event acted as an organic cross between an art installation and advertising. With live streaming from each event, family and friends were able to share their experience around the world.

The three market tour ran from April 19 – April 22 in New Jersey, Illinois and California and was inspired by the television series Frozen Planet, co produced by BBC/Discovery Channel, which made its US television debut March 18th on Discovery reaching over 25 million viewers.
