Mason Jar Music Presents is a video concert series that pairs talented artists with original orchestral arrangements and resonant New York City locations.

For each episode, we carefully select a song from the featured artist's repertoire and reinterpret it with an arrangement for an ensemble of strings, woodwinds and other assorted orchestral colors. Next, we scout for non-traditional, found spaces in NYC that capture the spirit of the song and suit the ensemble. Finally, we assemble our team of musicians, filmmakers and audio engineers to capture the live performance. The result is a singular musical moment - a stunning confluence of artist, arrangement, song and space.

Mason Jar Music Presents… is a video concert series recorded late at night in old buildings in New York City. Inspired by the peacefulness and tranquility of these buildings that continue to dot the city’s 21st century landscape, these productions aim to provide a unique setting and space for high quality music.

Under the cover of darkness, the MJM collective sneaks in to a Manhattan church with a mobile recording rig, an HD camera, and a dozen musicians to record and film a live performance with the episode’s featured artist.

Each episode is dreamed up and brought to life wholly by the Mason Jar Music team. Songs are carefully selected from the artist’s repertoire and re-imagined with arrangements for strings, woodwinds and other assorted orchestral colors.

Mason Jar Music is a collective of music makers trained in production, arranging, composition and recording. They all live and work together in a residential studio in Brooklyn, NY.

In addition to producing, recording and/or mixing records for a variety of artists, Mason Jar Music also specializes in film scores, original music for film and television, concert videos and other audio/visual productions.
