My first super16. Shot by Seo Yun Hong. Played with over and under crank here. Pushed the film 2 stops. Further worked on the look in Apple Color. Tana Sarnt is the actor. Music is Moby (used with permission). Found audio.
This is something I shot using a toy camera from the 80's called a PXL2000 - it records to video and audio onto a cassette tape. The aesthetic, I think, is lovely.
The concept went like this:
Participants were asked two questions repeatedly: "Do you have any regrets?" and "How many times a day do you wash your hands?" The participants were asked to repeat the question and answer it.
This particular cut dwells on the spaces of time before questions are answered and also separates participants from their voices to see if narrative can be derived using cuts, sound, and music. The audio track is a mix of all their voices in reverse and mixed together.
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
