Recording from Galveston-Houston Area Alliance for Response Webinar on May 1, 2012.
Greg Gelberg, Business Applications Administrator at the J. Paul Getty Trust, present a PowerPoint in which he explain how he organized the Getty’s very extensive disaster and recovery plans using a free (to non-profits) Atlassian software product called Confluence. This Wiki-style software is used at the Getty to manage all Disaster Preparations, Response and Recovery documents throughout their system. Updating the documents is facilitated by the software’s connectivity, converts existing documents to fit the Confluence Program, is easily accessed and is searchable among other favorable traits.
He share several of the documents and discuss strategies for developing a more comprehensive set of plans that are scalable to any size organization. This is an advanced stage of disaster planning but is still useful for those just beginning to create their plans or improving management of existing plans.
