First in a series of four web promos I directed for Los Angeles pop art furniture artist/icon Lisa Pearl (LisaPearl.net). Her work is popular with the celeb glitter crowd and sold in exclusive boutiques, but she remains as brash and punk as ever. So, well, we tried to capture that. Music by Kristin Hersh's 50-Foot Wave. Edited by Jeff Sternberger at 2150, Miami.
First in a series of doc-style pieces I'm directing for the American Library Association. Yes, the little girl really loves fairies that much, and yes, she knows a LOT about them. No, she doesn't wear the wings everywhere she goes, but she wears them enough that she didn't mind having them on all day for the shoot.

Second in a series of doc-style pieces I'm directing for the American Library Association. There are lots of different kinds of monsters. Some don't even look like monsters. They're especially scary when they're monsters to themselves. I directed and shot. Jeff Sternberger of 2150 in Miami made the cut.
A nice performance/narrative piece I directed for Huffy. The agency also hired me to write this one. References to the magical "lights" play off themes in the movie. Great performances by a couple of young actresses. Shot in Spring '10, it's airing for the 2010 Christmas season.
Not a current commercial. Presented for director's reference only. I directed this for Sawyer Riley Compton. The humor is kinda mean, but it still makes me laugh.
Ernie Mosteller is a director who gets great performances from kids, adults, clowns, cinematographers, editors, animators, real people, and the occasional frog. He has directed hundreds of national and international commercials, and if pixels had any weight at all, a ton of web content. Reach him at ernie@friedokra.tv
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
