As a boy, mad keen on fly fishing, I was fascinated with the legendary Hardy's, the 'Rolls Royce of angling'. 25 years later, I realise just how special a place Hardy's still have in the hearts of anglers everywhere. I wanted to know why, to find out how that name came to mean so much more than just fishing to so many people all over the world.

This is an extra scene from our feature film The Lost World of Mr Hardy. Back in the 50s & 60s the family firm of Hardy's were beginning to suffer under an old guard of ageing uncles and die hards. But new materials for fishing rods were arriving and so this is the story of how Hardy's overcame their fear of the new fangled glass fibre.

When we were filming the Lost World of Mr Hardy, one of the most enjoyable moments was here where the Aln reaches the sea. As evening set in and the tide went out peace seemed to take over. It was such a special place we wanted to include more so this as one of our extra / extended scenes from the film.
