SHINE is a collaborative film project produced by www.BIZNIK.com, an online networking community for micro business owners and solopreneurs. The project began on May 6, 2009 when 12 video crews and over 400 entrepreneurs gathered in Seattle’s largest film production studio to share why they work long hours, for low pay, facing great uncertainty.
The film combines compelling stories from the event, and interviews with academics, celebrated researchers (like Scott Shane author of Illusions of Entrepreneurship), and entrepreneurial superlatives (like Bruce Livingstone, founder of iStockphoto, acquired by Getty Images for $50M).
The result presents the larger story about entrepreneurship in an economy where 90 percent of all new jobs are created by small, entrepreneur-driven businesses.
View SHINE with an audience at a SHINE On event and discuss the themes with others who share the satisfaction of following your passion. The first SHINE On events are being held in Seattle, Portland, San…

This short film depicts the concept of identity theft. Through a series of visual montages of people on the street targeted as identity theft victims, and their identity represented by fingerprints, personal information, and photographs being tampered with, the concept of ones personal information being manipulated is expressed.
Scenes of photographs being marked out represent the vanishing identity of the victim, while slicing away at forms with personal information is the visual manifestation of this crime.
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
