Pentecost – that day when the Holy Spirit first burst onto the church scene. Does the Spirit’s wind blow in your life? To what end?
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them…

We’re going to look at four bible stories where people (at first) didn’t recognize that Jesus was standing right in front of them. Do you ever wonder what you might be missing?
“Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.” Jesus said to her, “Mary.”She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).”
John 20:15-16, NIV
“When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”
Luke 24:30-32, NIV
“He [Jesus] said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. Then the disciple whom Jesus loved…
This can be a heavy topic, however it can really help your walk with God. A couple of questions to consider.
1)How do we receive God’s forgiveness and grace?
2)How do we allow that forgiveness and grace to flow through us?
In this message we’re going to look at the biomechanics of a runner’s leg. What does running tell us about the Maker of all legs?

“When he was out on the trail running, it was like someone just rang the school bell and said, ‘Recess’. It was utter playfulness.”
Obituary of Ultramarathoner Micah True,

“That’s where we[human beings] have an advantage, that steady running at a sub-maximal speed, and we can do that for… I don’t know how long.”
Dr. Benno Nigg, Founder of the Human Performance Lab, U of C
“Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

We continue our three week, Templeton funded, ‘Discovering God in Science’ series. In this message we’re going to look at the hydrology of the Bow River. What does this flowing wonder tell us about the God who made it?

“There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.”
Psalm 46:4, TNIV
"Then he told me, 'In the part I was reading it says the Word was in the beginning, and that's right. I used to think water was first, but if you listen carefully you will hear that the words are underneath the water.'
A River Runs Through It, Norman McLean, p104
“The water eventually needs to go back to the ocean… The Bow River has developed over time to have the capacity to carry just the right amount of water. The size of the river that we have going through Calgary, and also the gradient - the river has adapted to this particular environment - that’s what makes it right for this place we live in.”

What if? What if the moment you're now living is meant for more? What if what you just did over the last hour was supposed to have held much more meaning, reality, and truth? What if God wants everything you do to matter more; everywhere you are to be more significant; every second you live to hold more eternity?
Often I think that this is exactly what God wants for us. I think its what he's made us for; to know his presence,

Often I think that this is exactly what God wants for us. I think its what he's made us for; to know his presence, to experience his being, to be embraced by his love in all things.
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
