Dr. Henry Roane is an associate professor in the department of psychiatry at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse New York. He and his staff work with autistic and special needs kids, to help improve their lives and the lives of their families. Roane has limited space, time, and staff so he can only see a four kids a day five days a week. Despite this He still makes a small difference in these children lives and he does it one kid at a time.

This is a documentary featuring Josh and Sarah Elmer, they have been married for two years now and are having their first child. Through positive attitude they are able to overcome Sarah's medical problems, including Sarah's pregnancy-induced asthma. "I just have had a lot of weird things happen. I've been sicker than most, then my asthma... I also thought I would gain a lot more weight, so that's a nice trade off, I guess," says Sarah.
Newhouse Military
PJ has been at Newhouse since 1963, except for an absence from 1988-1997. It started as a program between the School, and the Department of the Navy. Professor Frederic Demarest proposed the program to the Navy and was the program director for 25 years. The goal of the program was to teach active-duty sailors to become better photographers and storytellers. Eventually, other services participated in the program.
