    ONLY flying A-26A is at Fort Worth Vintage Flying Museum

    This is a nearly all-original A-26A/B26K that served in WWII and was prepped to serve in Vietnam. This aircraft was used as a trainer, and did not go overseas after the OnMark conversion. Preserved by the owner of a firebomber company for many years, it now belongs to the Pacific Prowler organization and undergoing complete restoration at the Fort Worth Vintage Flying Museum in Fort Worth, TX.     These are detail shots of the A26A before restoration

    We put the crane and dolly to use going over the A-26 over two weekends (3/13/10 and 3-20/10)) so we can show how it looks before the restoration. This is a little incoherent as it will be B-roll, so you're seeing some footage that may not be seen in the final cut. I'm offering this up to the Vets who flew these planes, so they can see the mighty A-26 again.     Maurice Bourne B-26B and B-26K Navigator

    Maurice flew the B-26B in Vietnam and then was transitioned into the 'new' B-26K at Hurlburt Field in Fort Walton Beach, Florida both times as a navigator. Unfortunately his Air Force Career was cut short in a bombing run at Hurlburt Field Florida. Listen to his story about his Vietnam and B-26K experience.
