In May of 2007, Sony Pictures Imageworks announced the opening of a satellite facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico that could take advantage of tax incentives offered by the state government.
Once in motion, employees of all tenure, and from many parts of the world, began moving to Albuquerque. Most knew absolutely nothing about the area. This is the story of the first forty employees who took the leap, and how they have come to experience the city of Albuquerque, and New Mexico.

THE SPANISH ROOM is a feature length documentary about Yjastros: The American Flamenco Repertory Company, based out of the National Institute of Flamenco in downtown Albuquerque, NM.
The film focuses primarily on the extensive time and effort that goes into producing one of Yjastros’ amazing shows, while also focusing on the many dedicated local people who give so much of their lives to improve their communities through flamenco.
The film interweaves interviews, rehearsal footage, and live concert performances in order to provide a uniquely thorough examination of the world-class flamenco produced by the National Institute of Flamenco and their premiere professional ensemble, Yjastros.

Ryan Bingham performers "The Weary Kind" (Theme from Crazy Heart) at the New Mexico State Capitol on February 18, 2010 during the "Ryan Bingham Day" celebration declared by Governor Bill Richardson.
"The Weary Kind" is a country song written by Bingham and T-Bone Burnett for the film Crazy Heart, directed by Scott Cooper and starring Jeff Bridges and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
"The Weary Kind" has been nominated for Best Original Song at the 2009 82nd Academy Awards. Bingham was awarded the Golden Globe for Best Original Song for "The Weary Kind" at the 2009 Golden Globe Awards.
