If you are scared of heights, high speed or even sharks, Atlantis' Leap of Faith is probably not for you.
After climbing the iconic Mayan pyramid that dominates Nassau's Atlantis water park, the 60 foot nearly vertical drop into a shark filled lagoon can be a terrifying experience. You are separated from the sharks by an acrylic tunnel and going so fast that you couldn't see the sharks even if you tried, but the thought is still pretty intimidating.

Around 30 km from Alajuela, Costa Rica, Parque Nacional Volcán Poás is a must see on any stop to the San Jose area. Just a short hike on a well maintained path through a stunning cloud forest sits one of the most active volcanoes in all of Costa Rica.
It is advised to arrive at 8:00 AM when the park opens as the volcano is located inside a massive cloud forest. We reached the summit around 8:15 AM and the entire crater was covered by thick clouds…
Only 165 km from Hanoi, Halong Bay is one of Vietnam's top tourist destinations. Especially after the oppressive traffic and noise of Hanoi, the peacefulness of a houseboat cruise on Halong Bay is a welcome stop on your travels through Vietnam.
The stillness of the water and the thousands of towering limestone islands make for breathtaking scenery. There are also enormous caves just waiting to be explored.
Halong Bay was listed as a UNESCO World…
Crosswalks in Hanoi, as in the rest of Vietnam, serve absolutely no purpose. No one is going to stop, no matter how long you wait.
If you want to cross the road, you look both ways and start walking into traffic. It is basically a real-life game of Frogger - you stop and start and dodge oncoming traffic until you have made it to the other side.
It's a little un-nerving at first, but it becomes second nature very quickly.
We were sitting on a patio having dinner in Hue, Vietnam when we heard this crazy familiar music but couldn't quite place what the song was.
It took us a second to realize it was a Popcorn cart driving down the street and the song was "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". In Vietnam. In October.
I highly doubt they had any idea what the song really was, it was a popcorn cart after all.
These monkeys were hanging around a quiet back entrance of Angkor Wat, near Siem Reap, Cambodia.
The older monkeys raided the backpack of an artist sitting nearby at least a half dozen times, grabbing handfuls of cookies and chips. The smaller monkeys feasted on the crumbs once the dominant adults had moved on.
Our guide excitedly referred to these plants as "Sleeping Plants". I'm pretty sure this is not the proper biological term but it was very appropriate.
It was extremely difficult to not play with these plants every time we ran into them (which was often). And after a day full of pouring rain, temples and tombs, poking and prodding them into motion was a great way to relax.
It rained off and on all day while visiting the tombs surrounding Hue, Vietnam. Thankfully, the weather was warm, and the spurts of rain were short.
And our ride for the day, on the back of two small scooters, was almost as memorable as the tombs we visited.
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
