A fashion film that is short, sweet, hopeful evoking a sense of homecoming. Featuring the amazingly transmutable Elizabeth Wright at Wilhelmina Models in Astrid Brucker SS/10 collection. This fashion film was shot in and around McCarren Park in Williamsburg NY with a Panasonic Lumix GH1.

Some of the people that either live in or pass through Oslo every summer. Friends and strangers. Filmed with the GH1 and a Canon f1.8 Mk2 apart from a couple of shots with the stock lens. Mainly handheld. A touch of Magic Bullet Looks grading. 720p.

Just received my Panasonic GH1 yesterday, here is a short test with an old Canon FD 50mm F1.4 manual lens.

Shot at 720p60, convert to Avi with Cineforme Neo Scene and drop in Premiere CS3, 720p24 project.

Went to a True Blood Season Finale dress-up party and annoyed my friends with my shiny new camera.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1. 1080/24p, shutter 60, iso 1000-1600, kit lens, creative Movie mode, autofocus (mostly), handheld (obviously). Low light conditions, with maybe one overhead light at most. Still testing, still figuring out controls, just screwing around with settings. No external mic used for the audio at the end. Encoded to Vimeo using Ed McNichol's tutorial (mcnichol.com/vimeo.htm).

Graded in various modified presets of Magic Bullet. Wanted to see how the low light footage held up to grading. Places where I had a 1600 iso didn't hold up well, because parts of faces were overexposed. Added some cheesy VFX and filters in Motion, just teaching myself the program.

And of course, I had nothing to do with the True Blood title sequence. I just added a Displace filter for my titles over the True Blood titles. The True Blood titles were done by Digital Kitchen and you can find it in all its awesomeness here: vimeo.com/2921431.
