This panorama was taken from the slopes of the Grand Ballon, summit of the Vosges mountains in North Eastern France.
The view starts to the East in the Austrian Tirol and moves toward West along the nothern ridge of the Alps. Along this ridge, it's a 400 km way to the French Alps but before getting there we are crossing the whole Switzerland: Ticino, Central Switzerland, Berner Oberland and Valais !
I may have done some mistakes while puting the summits names, I have been using google and the Hikr.org database to locate most of the mountains. I had a panoramic map of the Alps but it was not very useful for distant names because it was taken from another place in the Vosges.
The frame glides at the good speed of 6000 km/h (400 km in 4 minutes). I find the vimeo upload a bit strange, maybe I should make a 30 fps version for a smoother web viewing.
