Time lapse films have always intrigued me. Now the tools are readily available to produce time lapse video so I'm learning the basics. These scenes were shot using a Sony NEX-5N camera, a Tokina f3.5/28-70 zoom lens, a Rokinon f2.8/14mm lens, and Pclix XT intervalometer. The stills were put together into video form using Timelapse Assembler. Next, I want to modify my housing for the 5N to accommodate the intervalometer and try this underwater.

This is Mauna Kea, on the Big Island of Hawaii. Mauna Kea's high altitude (13,796) and remote location makes it the worlds best location for astronomy. The various domes you see in this movie are some of the best telescopes on the planet.
A list of all the telescopes can be found here: http://www.ifa.hawaii.edu/mko/telescope_table.htm
The video was primarily lit by a gibbous moon. If you look carefully you will see an airplane or two and even a…
This video is a collection of some time lapses I took in NORWAY during summer 2009 (june-july).
My gear was a 6 Mpx Nikon D70 (old and glorious) and a Pclix LT intervallometer to schedule and drive the shooting. I mostly used a Tamron lens with a focal length of 10/24 mm.
A special thank to HARVESTMAN for the soundtrack.
Enjoy!

This channel is dedicated to time-lapse videos which have been shot using Pclix. The Pclix is an intervalometer which is a fancy word for a timer that can tell your camera when to take a picture.
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
