The Roots‘ 7th Annual Grammy Jam Session took place at the Music Box Theatre in Hollywood, California. Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the jam session included sets featuring the legendary Roots and a number of special guest performers including the “Human Beat Box” Doug E. Fresh, soul legends Chaka Khan, Chuck Brown and Betty Wright as well as Marsha Ambrosius, will.i.am, Melanie Fiona, Donnis, Ne-Yo and Blu amongst others.

A while back I got a chance to shoot this music video but we never got a chance to finish it due to time constraints and differing schedules. Rather than just let the footage go to waste, I decided to put together the visuals to the first verse of the record with what I had.
