Slow motion made in New York in 2008 with a cheap casio camera (EX-F1)
The shots were done at 240fps with a Merlin (from Steadicam).

I worked as an Animator/Compositor in a team with the directors Pete Candeland and Robert Valley.
Jamie Hewlett designed it.
The music is from Damon Albarn for the Opera "Monkey: Journey To The West".
All the character animation was hand made by 5 animators, and colored on computer.
The backgrounds where made on Photoshop and Painter by Kevin Dart and Lukasz Pazera.
The aim was to recreate the feeling of a traditional animation like the old movies…

We did everything in a little more than 3 weeks, from the storyboard to the final render.
It's a mix between 2D and 3D.
