"Content is Queen" is a video art series of generative portraits that reflects on the foundations of democracy and the resilient nature of the structures of power. At the same time, it is a paradoxical dialogue and strange marriage between the banal and the utterly majestic: to create the series, the most popular (in a truly democratic sense) internet videos of a given moment are used as the input of a generative process that "paints" with action…

toxiclibs is an independent, open source library collection for computational design tasks with Java & Processing. After almost 3 years of continuous development & refactoring, the collection consists of >15k lines of code, 130+ classes, 18 packages bundled into 7 libraries. The classes are purposefully kept fairly generic in order to maximize re-use in different contexts ranging from generative visuals, data visualization to digital fabrication,…

I'm basically using 10 fingers to 'play the visuals'. In fact I'm also sending the midi signal to Ableton Live, but for the video I decided to use a different audio track instead. All working in realtime. Recorded in one completely improvised take. I just like the result so I wanted to share it :-)
