My second video features an illustration I did for the upcoming 11th edition of Champion Sound. The piece was created entirely from scratch in Adobe Photoshop CS3 and a tiny bit of Illustrator CS3. The featured music is by Black Sun Empire feat. State of mind and available through Beatport and recordstores worldwide. You can find the rest of the project in my behance portfolio (www.behance.net/supersilo) Enjoy!

This video features a speed up version of creating the illustration I recently did for the new Chameleon flyer and poster. It features an octopus having a go at a ship filled with candy cargo! Everything was done in Adobe Photoshop CS3 and a little bit of Illustrator. I think the total sums up to about 95% Photoshop and 5% illustrator. You can find the rest of the project in my behance portfolio (www.behance.net/supersilo) Enjoy!
Every couple of weeks the FontShop staff meets to learn a little something from each department. Here’s a bit from my presentation on how we go about making type samples. I thought I’d share it with you, the blog readers ( http://www.fontshop.com/blog/?p=819 ), so you can get a peek behind the process of creating all these images.
The typeface is Miller ( http://www.fontshop.com/fontlist/families/miller/ ) by Matthew Carter. Miller is Carter’s take on “Scotch Roman” faces. Scotch Roman faces were widely used in American design in the early 1900s. As such the theme of the sample is “2000 Leagues Under the Sea”, which chronologically, if not geographically matches the time period. Some key characteristics featured are true fractions, and italic small caps. Personal favorites are the italic ligs, and ampersand. However, in creation of this sample I accidentally used fake small caps, oops, don’t do that.
There are a couple (more) inexcusable typographic errors in the sample, if you spot them,…
We decided to make a holiday card to send out this season to our family and friends. Thought it might be fun to record the process :P

Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
