Victor Quinaz is a Brooklyn based Filmmaker, Screenwriter, Commercial Director, and New Mediatician (he coined the phrase and is the only person to actually use it).

In 2004, Victor completed his first short film, CHINESE DREAM. The film has since played in 50 and counting international film festivals, was short-listed for the 2005 Academy Awards, and has won Best Short five times, including The San Francisco International Film Festival Golden Gate Award. The film was honored at Los Angeles’ Indie Producers Gala as one of the top three short films of the year. In 2007, CHINESE DREAM was accepted into the archives of Hong Kong University and is now taught as part of their curriculum. CHINESE DREAM can be seen on PBS at all hours of the morning.

Victor is currently set to direct the film he wrote, IMPERIAL PALACE, with Christine Vachon, Killer Films, and Zachary Quinto’s company Before The Door Pictures, and PURPLE MAJESTY, with Third Factory Films. He has a publishing deal with Before the Door Pictures and Archaia Comics for the graphic novel he wrote MR. MURDER IS DEAD due out the summer of 2011.

He has two comedy web series, PERIODS. and STUNTED, and was hired by WGBH to write the series, DOT DIVA PRESENTS: KATE AND ALI, a show designed to get young girls excited about careers in computer programming (slightly challenging).

As a commercial Director and Producer Victor has been part of many productions, documentaries, and Music Videos in and around the New York area. His clients range from Absolut Vodka and Malibu Rum to IFC/Sundance Channel and H&M as well as YSL and Rockstar Games.

In 2005, he was awarded a spot at The Screenwriters Colony in Nantucket for his script THE SWEET WATER. He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon, 2000, and is managed by Circle Of Confusion.

Victor Quinaz was born and raised in Miami, Florida.
