RGB is an audiovisual project by Pammela Rojas & Rafael Marfil

Pammela Rojas & Rafael Marfil have been working on their audiovisual project for over a year. At the beginning Pamm did visuals and vocal samples for Rafael's music, as well as for his audio loop based performances. Shortly after their first public appearance, both Pamm and Rafael produced vocal parts for the studio productions, allowing Pamm to become a solid part of the musical side of the project. The performances thereafter were focused on the vocal aspect and the rest of the music was produced exclusively with a Yamaha RM1x hardware sequencer, some keyboards and vocal processing being provided by a slow computer. At those performances the visuals were produced on a slow PC running Resolume Avenue.

In the meantime Rafael developed skills in object-oriented programming to produce music software but he ended up using them at the beginning of 2010 to create a program to offer the audience a visual depiction of what he did onstage, making him a part of the project's visual aspect.

After attending to some very inspiring live performances in Berlin, it is when they decided that they should play live, and live they meant. They worked hard and the first sketches of what would be a live and improvised audiovisual performance started to take shape. Shortly after, they decided to offer a technically easier-to-carry-around lighter version of the newly developed audiovisual performance, which retained the improvised quality. The result is called RGB, name inspired by the colors of the first batch of the Korg Electribe family of sound generators, not to forget the well known additive color model. A brief RGB performance followed and served to prepare the duo for their next public appearance, making use of the tools they developed over the year, to present the public their first high resolution PRRM liveact.

Pammela & Rafael are currently working on RGB, Shiro Schwarz, Scrappy & Coco, µton.AV and other projects. They are committed to give the audience their best.
