Doug Dommer, Teaching Pastor. No one likes to hear the word NO. Especially if we don’t understand the purpose of it or the position of the one saying it. As we continue in our series Stuff that Matters, we look specifically at the topic of Limits. Without limits, our lives, as well as our society, would be in constant danger. Thank God He has given us limits to live by.
“I know my faith is founded on Jesus Christ, my God and Lord” says an old hymn. How true! Our new message series, Stuff that Matters, begins with that important topic this morning. Our trouble is that sometimes, we focus on our fears rather than on our faith—especially in times of transition and change. We are reminded in this message that God in Christ Jesus is a solid rock upon which to stand and God has a future in store for us that gives us hope…

Not only are we the recipients of it, we are also called to be the dispensers of it as well. Through the Holy Spirit we have the power to do it…and that changes everything! In the Bible it says ”Jesus died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” We hope and pray that truth leads you to a better understanding of God's will and purpose.
Doug Dommer, Teaching Pastor. On this first Sunday after Easter, we face one of our greatest challenges in life—fear. Oftentimes, fear immobilizes us and causes us to think wrong thoughts and act in wrong ways. Because of the power of the risen Christ, Easter Changes Everything, including our beliefs about fear. It is our prayer for you that you discover that, in the middle of fear, you find faith.
Easter changes everything. The earth shook, the grave stone was rolled away and Jesus who was dead, came to life. With Easter, God won the battle over death, over sin and over evil. In truth, nothing was the same as it was before. On Easter, we celebrate this momentous event, and we reaffirm that our lives can and are changed by Jesus, who rose from death to life.
