“For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face.” 1 Corinthians 13:12.

Though out history people have been asking, “What does it mean to be human?”And “What is real?”. In twenty first century the people are still asking but today the answers have become more complicated.

The word avatar comes from the religious tradition of Hinduism. In Hinduism an avatar is the human or animal incarnation of a deity. Today the word avatar is a used to describe a person’s online presence. It can be in the form of text like a screen name, a two-dimensional image or icon, or a three-dimensional virtual character.

The relationship people can have with computers and technologies; how we represent ourselves and show emotions online are ever evolving. The differences between who we are, how others see us and how we want others to see us in today’s digital world can be controlled and change.

We study the ideas of what a perfect human body. Today we can make extensions of ourselves or create completely different personalities and personas. Are our physical bodies more real than our virtual counter parts? Could it possible that our physical or virtual bodies might not be real and at that what is real is the ghost inside?
