I mashed some video, pictures and music together to summarize our boy scout troop's "centennial celebration" celebrating 100 years of scouting, and 100 Eagle Scouts from Troop 122.

Kansas Oil Field

I had the opportunity to tour an oil operation about 100 miles out of Kansas City. The power house, rod-driven lines, and the "Oklahoma Jacks" used to pump the oil from 1600 feet underground is pretty much the way it was established over 100 years ago. This engineering marvel was quite a time machine--it's amazing to see the ingenuity and creative problem solving to slowly pump oil from the ground. Here's a video tour of the operation.
