Social entrepreneur in renewable energy Amos Nguru from Kenya has made a lot of progress since he started working with Chris Veeningen from the Rabobank via SharePeople. Now his company, which already provided biogas installations to smallholder farmers in Kenya's rural regions, started working on providing biogas to institutions. The first institution is the children's home 'Blessed Generation Children Centre' in Malindi.

In oktober 2010 vertrokken 16 studenten van de part-time Master of Science bedrijfskunde naar Kenia om daar lokale ondernemers te ondersteunen met hun opgedane kennis.
Niet alleen de ondernemers leerden veel van deze kennisuitwisseling, ook de deelnemers zelf ontwikkelden kennis en vaardigheden en raakten geïnspireerd door het ondernemerschap in Kenia.
SharePeople Ambassadors Chantal Verhoeven (Ethiopie en India) en Thomas Benedict (Kenia) leggen uit hoe zij social entrepreneurs hebben ondersteund met hun kennis en op welke manier die ervaring hen zelf heeft verrijkt. Ook in relatie tot hun dagelijkse werk.
