This is a mid-term film project that had to be one of three categories: comedy, horror (for Halloween) or Film Noir. This movie was shot on 16mm Black and White film with a Bolex camera.
A Bolex camera is not able to sink sound with live recording, therefore all sounds within this movie had to be added in post-production. It also must be hand cranked in order to forward the frames along; because of this a single take can be no longer than 20 seconds. Making things interesting to say the least.
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
