Pete O'Donovan started making Podsacs in Sheffield, UK back in the early '80s. Pete designed and manufactured the range himself and built a strong reputation amongst climbers for producing the most durable kit available.
We produced this short video of Pete, which features an interview and footage of Pete climbing 'Left Unconquerable' at Stanage Edge, England.

Commissioned by public speaker and Everest summiteer, Paul Deegan (http://www.pauldeegan.com). Paul wanted an engaging way of showing his audience how big Everest really is, in comparison to other structures and mountains. We produced this short piece for Paul to use as part of his talk to organisations.
We were tasked by outdoor clothing brand Rab (www.rab.uk.com) to produce a promotional video for a new range of jackets launching in Spring 2012.
The brief was to create something different, inspirational, clean, bright and colourful to promote the new jackets, made with a waterproof and breathable fabric called Pertex Shield.
We came up with the concept for the piece and developed it into an idea where the video itself is purely constructed using stills and text, no live action. The backgrounds were all supplied by Rab, we used photo-mapping techniques to make them 3D. We overlaid all the text and the jackets themselves, which changed colour to highlight the breadth of colours in the range and animated the text features on to the jackets.
Created using Apple Motion, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Cotswold Outdoor have been preparing for their new Spring / Summer season and of course, with summer on it’s way, this naturally leads to planning camping trips, festivals and any other excuse us Brits can find to get those shorts on and get ourselves outdoors!
Cotswold wanted a way to give their customers a better idea and scale of their new tent range without having to see it in store. We came up with the pitch of a short 1-3 minute video for each tent, using a variety of shots to show the tents off in all their glory.
Starting the project in early November 2011 and with 41 different models to shoot, the process was one of our longest. Resulting in over 1TB of raw footage alone.
The secret weapon behind these videos is the wide angle Canon 15mm fisheye lens. This prime lens allowed us to get right into the small tents and show so much more in one shot. Not only this, working with f/2.8 allows copious amounts of light into the lens without loss of quality, giving us longer shooting…
A 1min excerpt from the documentary 'Call Of The White'. Where polar explorer Felicity Aston talks about Antarctica.
The documentary is led by polar explorer Felicity aston, it follows a courageous team of 8 ordinary women, with no previous experience, through a tough selection process in Norway and on to attempt to ski 900km across Antarctica to the south pole.
Chosen from across the commonwealth, some of the women had never seen snow before, experienced subzero temperatures or spent the night in a tent but they face extreme cold, the destruction of their tents in a storm, frostbite and running out of food.
This is a film about friendship and determination and the draw of one of the most extreme environments on earth - Antarctica.
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
