After a smattering of catchy indie feel-good singles, including ‘Losing My Mind’, an up-tempo, foot stomping rock n’ roll gem that received great reactions from alternative radio and television (Kerrang!, Arrow, Total Rock, XFM, Ex-tube’s Extreme Sports and E4’s School Of Performing Arts), Some Velvet Morning have created a buzz of interest from all who’ve caught this great band live.

Following the release of their debut album, Silence Will Kill You (nominated by XFM for album of the year), Some Velvet Morning have toured Russia, the US (including an appearance on Fox’s Fearless show) and Bangkok where they performed last October for a capacity crowd of 3500. Back in the UK they garnered healthy national radio support from Janice Long (a live session followed) and Bob Harris.

SVM are currently working on their second album, with a University roadshow planned for February, backed of PRS, BACS and UK Music to promote music rights awareness. A PRS rooftop gig off Oxford St, London will kick off proceedings on 30th January in honour of the Beatles 40 years ago to the day. Whilst being a nod to the past, this will also focus on the future by promoting public awareness towards the value of music
