    April 15, 2012 (Montgomery, Alabama) The Florida Gators took home the inaugural Southeastern Collegiate Rugby Conference Championship and with it the automatic birth in the USA Rugby National Championship Tournament. The Gators bested the Tennessee Volunteers in a very well played final in Montgomery, Alabama. Florida reached the finals with a 35-17 defeat of LSU while Tennessee fought past Alabama 31-22.
