Full Frame Documentary Film Festival
Friday, April 13, 2012

Films can help support the free speech of individuals, by supplying an additional voice and outreach of facts. If someone is brave enough to rise against Goliath to tell the truth, how do you convince them to go one step further and memorialize their efforts on film? How do these types of films end up propelling, or perhaps complicating, the efforts of the subjects in question? In a world where the mere threat of a law suit can wipe out personal and professional finances, how can documentary filmmakers be protected?

Panelists include filmmakers: Judith Ehrlich, THE MOST DANGEROUS MAN IN AMERICA: DANIEL ELLSBERG AND THE PENTAGON PAPERS; Fredrik Gertten, BIG BOYS GONE BANANAS!*; Bernardo Ruiz, REPORTERO

Moderator: Angelica Das, Center for Social Media
