Based on the original screenplay "5 Ways to Split Apart the Day" written by John Darko and Jeremy Thomas.
CONCEPT:
5 WAYS TO SPLIT APART THE DAY is an in-your-face urban drama following in the tradition of Mean Streets and Reservoir Dogs while merging emotional conflict from films like Crash and 21 Grams.
Five friends, all products of a harsh society, decide that it’s time to turn the tables and set out to become something more then they were destined for. Motivated by what they see in movies and fueled by the need for change, they strategically plan a heist to rob a menacing and heartless man.
In the course of their adventures, they come to realize that sometimes pain is a catalyst for change.
The reality-world of 5 Ways to Split Apart the Day is a
brutally honest take on the pitfalls of urban street-life.
Each character struggles with some type of forced adversity allowing the world itself to sympathize with what isn’t normally seen and brought into plain view.
