It's based on my own personal experiences of the early days setting up a social enterprise, and how SSE came to my rescue. And still does.
It starts with a quote from the Channel 4 documentary 'Alone in the Wild' where a lovely fella pursued his childhood dream of seeing if he could survive in Canadian wilderness for four months. There's one part where he knows he's going to have to move camp because there isn't enough food to sustain him. And he's hoping to find salmon to catch further upstream.
He knows he needs to move on, but the terror he feels about moving on into uncertainty really struck a chord!! As did feeling completely alone in the wild.
Without getting overly emotional about it, since I got accepted onto SSE, there's a bunch of us starting to set up camp together.

Building the capacity for effectiveness. At last year's Social Entrepreneurship Summit, we heard the need to build the “technical” skills required for social entrepreneurs and the need for social metrics. This year, we asked these international leaders to address these challenges.
