3rd year project 2010 STAFFORDSHIRE UNIVERSITY
My final major project, with reference to ’The Woodland Trust' campaigns and other supporting groups on deforestation.
What has replaced it, and who is paying for it.
I have created a sound driven piece, illustrating the journey of a Red squirrel, who no longer has a ‘green’ corridor to connect to neighbouring habitats. Already endangered, he takes his chances to cross the industrial jungle that now…
An animation demonstrating the transition between anthropomorphism to realism using an arctic fox.
My original idea started out being quite complex. The narative involved an arctic fox building snowmen and finding a lady friend. A man tries to stay awake to answer a phone call but can he manage?
This is my final piece stop motion animation filmed at Staffordshire University, Stoke-on-Trent, May 2010.
The model is constructed from an armature, foam sheets and padding applied for bulk and muscle structure, hand-made clothing.
Head is sculpey with plasticine clay features.
Hands contain wire and have been cast in a latex mould
This is the final campfire animation i created for my University Final Major. Created in Maya, sculpted in mudbox, rendered in Mental Ray and Composited in After effects. Used Maya Fluids to create the fire, nparticles for the snow. Rendered seperate layers and combined in after effects.
This version has faster fire and the snow has improved motion.
