Tom and Dave set out to shoot a doubles edit for Hell on Wheels, filming came to a hault when Tom took a gnarly crash at the end of the session and fractured his face, skull & spine. He went and saw Metallica the night after he was released from hospital and was at work the following day... BAD-ASS!
This is the story of that day...
Filmed on a Panasonic HPX172 & Canon 7D.

Our recent little rail jam slash party Slay the rail 2 was always going to rock. The equation was simple; build a rail, put it in one of Melbourne's most notorious clubs, invite the cream of Australia's rail shredding talent and boom. Pretty much the formula for a ridiculously good time even before everyone got liquored up and loose. Here’s what went down on the night, hope you enjoy, we sure did. A massive thanks goes out to everyone who made it…
Mike came over from Germany to replace Tom Boorman as Hell on Wheels' bike mechanic while he was overseas riding trails. We decided we should go film some stuff but I'd loaned my camera out to someone that week. As it turns out Mike owns a 5D MkII with some very nice glass too, I got really excited cos I'd never used one, and so this is what we made!
I hope you enjoy it!
Filmed on a Canon 5D MkII with 50mm f1.4, 15mm fisheye & 24-70mm f 2.8

Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
