On December 16, 2011, ACT-IAC and AFFIRM sponsored an address from Steven VanRoekel, the U.S. Chief Information Officer. Mr. VanRoekel led a conversation with government and industry leaders of the IT community on “Forging a More Efficient and Effective Government.”

The presentation and discussion provided the community an update on the Administration’s agenda and how the audience can collaborate in accomplishing that agenda. Mr. VanRoekel spoke for about 45 minutes and entertained questions from the audience for an additional 20 minutes.
